    Default Car not starting

My 2002 TJ Magna won't start. Was working fine a week ago as my sister took it out driving to town. She came back home about 2 hours later and was working perfect until she turned it off. Stayed for 10 minutes then she went to turn it back on and wouldn't start. Took 45 minutes to get it started. Have been trying everyday for a week to start it but won't start. Have tested the battery and it's fine. Please help!

It does try to turn over but it doesn't actually want to. It also did have a dirty smell when it started before i had this issue. Could it be the fuel pump?

Not sure what this means. Is the engine cranking quickly but not firing? Is the engine cranking slowly? Is the engine not cranking at all? All have different causes and solutions, you'll need to be more specific about what's happening when you turn the key.

Cranks moderately but just keeps cranking and doesn't go any further

This is impossible to diagnose via forum. In principle you need three things for an engine to fire:
    1) Correct fuel/air mix
    2) Spark
    3) Compression.
Number 3 is unlikely to be a problem since the engine's cranking. Number 2 is fairly easy to eliminate and if no spark is happening there are a number of causes including bad coil, worn rotor or cap, bad leads, busted immobiliser antenna, blown fuse, ancient spark plugs etc.. Number 1 could be a problem for any number of reasons including (but not limited to) bad fuel pump, blocked fuel filter or line, inoperative fuel pressure regulator, bad/blocked injectors, empty fuel tank, maladjusted throttle position sensor, blocked air filter, problem with the EGR system or fried ECU.

The only way to fix this is to check and eliminate each possible culprit in turn.

Crank angle sensor failure will cause the engine not to fire

Have you connected another car to yours with jumper leads to make 100% sure you have got enough electrical power for starting?

By your explanations, I would think your battery would have had a rough time this week with all the failed attempts to start the car.

At least eliminate inadequate battery output from the problem solving.

I've connected the battery to a multimeter and is reading fine. Just so weird for it to stop working within such a short amount of time
